Memorial Day Weekend!

We enjoyed a great Memorial Day Weekend! I can't tell you how nice it was to have our little "Party of 5" together again! We took advantage of the great weather and grilled out for my birthday on Friday night. The kids and I were thrilled to have Donnie home! What a great birthday treat!

Saturday was filled with family errands and a night in NYC for us!

We spent Sunday morning at Dragon Park where we attempted to teach the kids to ride their bikes without training wheels. A lot of the neighborhood kids have learned to ride on just "two wheels" and Katie & John had both mentioned they were ready to learn, so I told them when Daddy was home we would give it a try! After plenty of tears and frustration, Katie finally started peddling on "two wheels" all by herself! She still needs some practice, but I think she is on her way! John even gave it a go too! I think the only one who will need training wheels soon will be Luke!

After all the bike riding and some much needed naps we headed to Krazy City for some more fun! Katie & John LOVED the roller coaster! I lost track of how many times they rode it!

Luke was too short for the roller coaster so he did some kiddie bowling with Dad! We finished the evening off with dinner at The Cheesecake Factory! Yummy!

Monday morning we went out to Round Pound to do a little fishing before Donnie had to go to the airport. I think everyone, but Luke caught a fish! Here is Katie's first catch of the day!

They even managed to get in some time on the Gator this weekend!

I am thankful to have fun family weekends like this one!

gLee Live...

Donnie and I went to NYC to celebrate my 33rd Birthday! What a great night out in the city! We started our evening out at the Heartland Brewery on the patio sampling some beers and then grabbing a bite to eat! The perfect start to an exciting evening!

After dinner we walked around Rockefeller Center before heading over to Radio City Music Hall to see gLee Live! What an Amazing show! I absolutely LOVED it! They preformed so many of the great songs from the show. Don't Stop Believing, My Life Would Suck Without You, Don't Rain on my Parade, Dancing with Myself, Beautiful, Sweet Caroline, Bad Romance, Jump, True Colors, Somebody to Love, & and so many more great songs!

I LOVED every minute of the show....It was Happy, it was Fun, it was Glee! Thank you for a very special birthday present! A night I will always remember!

End of School Year Celebration!

Katie's Kindergarten class had their End of Year Picnic today! What a beautiful day to have a picnic. It was a hot day at West Point, 94 degrees, but it felt perfect in the shade!

After our lunch, we went to the classroom so the kids could show us their "portfolios". You can see how much Katie has changed over this past year by looking at the picture on the front of her portfolio! I can't believe that she is almost a 1st grader! It was so great to see the work that Katie has down over the past year. She is reading, writing, adding, & subtracting! I am so proud of her!

TIE HER SHOE! Yea Katie! Katie's T-ball shoes are the only shoes she has that tie, and she finally learned how to tie them! She was super excited and VERY proud of herself! Way to go!

Road Trip!

The kids and I spent a wonderful weekend in Stamford, CT with The Coffman Family! Saturday we took the kids to a great park to have a picnic and play!

After some rest time for the youngest boys, it was back outside to enjoy the great weather! The kids rode bikes, played in the tree swing, splashed in the water table, and jumped with the neighbors in a bounce house! It just doesn't get better than this!

Katie loved to have Robert give her "five"! She said, "Mom, I just love his little face when he give me five!" So cute!

Sunday, we went to the Stamford Nature Center! What an awesome experience! They had something to see or do everywhere you looked! The kids got to see lots of animals (pigs, sheep, chickens, rabbits, and horses to name a few) and they were able to pet several of them too.

The kids also got to make some sand art. Katie made a dolphin key chain and John made a frog necklace.

We also got to see Sheep Sheering! Pretty cool! This mama sheep was getting her Spring hair cut! It was really cool how the wool stayed together and was one big sheet of wool when he finished! The kids also got to pet her new little black lamb! Super cute!
They had all sort of games for the kids to play. Here is John playing horse shoes! And the best part of all was after you "won" the game you got to pick out a prize! The kids favorite prize was their silly face glasses! What jokers!
After making butter and having plenty of snacks...popcorn, candy, donuts,...it was time for the hayride around the nature center! Here is the whole crew minus Elizabeth who was taking our picture! What a great afternoon!
Before we headed back to West Point the kids spent a little more time swinging and climbing in the tree!

Swim Lessons

Katie and John are taking swim lessons once a week to get ready for the summer! They both remember quite a bit from last year and are really improving with the lessons this year. Yea!

What a great day for field events! Katie and her friends had so much fun! I love being able to go to her school events and see her having so much fun at school!
