Happy Birthday John!

It is hard to believe that 4 years ago this little bundle of joy entered into this world! John was about 3 months old in this picture! John was such a sweet baby boy! He is really growing up into a wonderful young man! I know every parent says they grow up to fast, but they really do!

John wanted a Frog Birthday Cake this year, so I decided to make him one! This was my first attempt to make a birthday cake! It turned out pretty good! John loved it!!! Especially, the eyes and the frog legs!

John LOVES to play Wii! (all gaming really, he takes after his Dad and his Uncle Justin) But, right now Wii is his favorite! So he got a few new games for his birthday! Wii Hunting and Fishing! I haven't played the Hunting game yet, but John can catch way more fish than me!

John is going to start T-ball at the end of March, so he got a new glove and ball! He thought this was pretty cool too!

Time for some Happy Birthday singing and some Frog Cake!

Snow, snow, & more snow...

WOW! This my friends is snow!!! We got snow 4 days this week, and the kids missed 3 days of school this week because of the weather. The big storm hit on Thursday evening, and we ended up with about 18 inches of snow on Friday morning! Friday was filled with shoveling, playing in the snow, shoveling, and more shoveling. We had so much snow blown up by the doors we couldn't open the front or the back doors. Donnie had to take out he screen on the storm door and crawl through to start digging! Here is a picture of the snow outside the front door early Friday morning.



This is the back door we have outside on our porch. Mazie had to make a whole through the snow to get outside too!



Donnie had to do a little shoveling around his truck and then used his 4 wheel drive to make it to work! I think this is the first time he has really needed the 4 wheel drive! Thank goodness he has it for days like this one. The first part of my morning was spent shoveling the front steps and the sidewalks. After that is was on to my car! What a mess. I park on the end of the street so all the snow gets plowed up behind my car and makes it a real pain to dig out! This was an all day project with plenty of breaks to play with the kids! After Donnie made it home from work we shoveled out all of the snow from his parking spot! Donnie and Luke with the pile of snow after we finished!

Luke loves to help shovel the snow! As you can see he has a little shovel so he can help out! I love this silly little guy! He is always seems to have a smile on his face!

This much snow is a lot of work, but it is also a lot of fun too! I don't think this will be the last of the snow we see this season, but I sure hope we don't get this much again until next year! Happy SNOW Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day is such a fun day to celebrate with cards, cookies, flowers, and lot of hugs and kisses! The kids and I made some heart shaped cookies and decorated them with lots of sprinkles!

The Coffman Crew

Elizabeth and her two adorable boys, Henry & Robert came for a visit today! Who knew that Stamford, CT was only about a 1 1/2 hour drive from West Point, NY. The boys really enjoyed getting to know each other and playing, while Elizabeth and I had a chance to catch up! Once Katie got home from school we decide to hit the sledding hill! Here is a picture of Henry and Katie.

After sledding we headed to Trophy Point so they could get a good view of the Academy and see some of the statues, cannons, and even a few cadets. Here is a view of the Hudson River. I just how it looks in the winter with the big chunks of ice. So beautiful!

What a fun and exciting day with wonderful friends. The kids and I are looking forward to a trip to Stamford soon!

Snow Day!

The best part of a snow day is sledding! At least that's what we think! We have the perfect little hill just up the street from our house! We only have about 5 inches so far, but before the storm is done we should have at least a foot!

The snow was really coming down! You can hardly tell in the pictures. Here is Luke after sledding for a while. He loves it! I am hoping to get some action shots later, but too hard to do with three kids!

Party Day!

Saturday was a day filled with birthday party fun! John went to Ellie and Ike's 4th Birthday Party! It was a circus theme which included a bounce house and Macaroni the Clown! All the kids had a great time! John said his favorite thing was jumpin' with his friends! Of course, I forgot to take my camera to the party. But, here is John enjoying his cupcake that he HAD to bring home from the party! Yummy!



Katie went to Harlie's 6th Birthday Party at the bowling alley! Katie had so much fun bowling and playing with her friends! Here is Katie blowing her noise maker from the party! Yippee!

The family has really enjoyed playing the Wii we got for Christmas! Thanks Mimi and Poppy! Luke has decide that if he can't play with the rest of us, he will just use the Wii cabinet as a hide out while the rest of us play! Too cute!

100th Day!

Today was Katie's 100th day of Kindergarten! The parents were invited to come and celebrate by making 100th day crowns. Katie glued the 100 on the crown, then in groups of ten, made 100 colored dots on the crown. We did a lot of counting by 10's today! Here is the finished product on the most precious Kindergartner you will ever see....

After making our crowns we did some more work on counting and grouping things by ten. Here is Katie with her stacks of ten! I LOVE seeing her learn and have fun at school! Happy 100th Day!
